Old ferries that link the Waterfront to the Islands are finally being replaced – and not a century too soon! We will hear about the modern, electric ferries from the people in charge. Doug Bennet is senior project manager at Parks and Recreation, and Richard Farquharson is the power systems designer of this $141 million project. They will show us what it takes to serve Island residents and 1.5 million visitors each year. The ferry terminal will see some upgrades, but the complete redesign is still a future dream.
